About Mokses' Kitchen Project & Healthy School Meals

 

Mokses' kitchen is an enterprise which supports schools in offering quality nutritional caribbean food.

 

In an Educational setting, our Food Director, together with our chef, goes into schools and, after much consultation with our Educational Director and the school staff, parents, governors and students, the school is able to redirect its food policy and supply a nutritional, balanced diet to its pupils.

 

After our training sessions, the school has quality menu's to offer its pupils; lesson plans and schemes of work for teachers to provide educational activities for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5; the skills to provide educational enrichment courses and citizenship sessions.

 

This bespoke training enhances not only the pupils' and catering staff's knowledge and understanding but also the whole school curriculum in line with the National Schools Strategy.

 

In a private setting, we offer half-day workshops for children and young people; people of working ages in places of employment; the general population in community settings and we also cater for community events, parties etc.

In essence we aim to enhance the health and well-being of everyone we work with.
